During the production of the installation In a NETmare, a video was developed for Art Cologne. The video evokes a one frame dream, where two camouflaged layered white bodies slide upon white ribbons in a space with ambiguous depth. The role of the doppelgänger, a repetition that enacts the unconscious, is a second self that represent interiority and outward vision. The work visualizes Freudian concept of `the Uncanny` (das Unheimliche) an instance where the familiar is also strange, resulting in an unknown experience.
In Art Cologne, the video projection intervened with the architecture of the room. The projection was reflected throughout the room on mirrored strips and panels producing an expanded sense of the image.
