Landscape | Experience | Production: Photography and Productive Territories in Chile (2000-2020) , 31 artists have collaborated to present a compelling collection of photographs that document, allude to, or engage with the productive landscapes of Chile. These works serve as poignant testaments to territories that have undergone adaptation, degradation, protection, or mitigation, reflecting the various modes of extraction and production. Curated by José Ignacio Vielma Cabruja, this exhibition vividly portrays the transformative journey of Chile’s landscape over two decades, from 2020 to 2022.

Ornament and Obsession is part of the interdisciplinary project Neues Rheinland / Young Art Scene in The Rhine. With the support of the NRW Kunststiftung and under the artistic direction of KAI 10, Arthena Foundation, Düsseldorf.

Twelve young artists from Rhineland question the concept the pervasive repetition in our lives. The artists reveal beauty of the serial nature with sequenced: actions are transposed into moving images and make deploy grounds such ornaments on the screen.

With works by Jan Hoeft, Dominik Geis, Kerstin Gramberg, Katharina Monka, Róbert Olawuyi, Jens Pecho, Johannes Post & Julian Scherer, Carolina Redondo, Johanna Reich, Silke Schönfeld and Nico Joana Weber.

Joan Jonas Workshop & Artist Residency • 2016

A workshop led by Joan Jonas and took place from June 6 to 23 2016, at Villa Iris in Santander and the nearby Nansa Valley, where Fundación Botín has been unfolding a Rural Development Program aimed at re-dynamizing the valley and preserving its heritage.
